Long Time, No See!

What a crazy couple of weeks I'm having. I love blogging. Love writing. And yet, these past few weeks, I've been so bogged down with other things I haven't really had the opportunity yet to do it much. Hopefully that will change. I had some big deadline projects, some home drama with the plays and illness, and some other life things that keep me busy. Not complaining, mind you. Just saying. Hee, hee.

I wanted to share with you a layout I completed for today's "Work It Out Wednesday" which uses your Electronic Die Cut Machines to create lace cardstock. I used both a Cricut Machine and a Silhouette Machine to complete this project. You can find the tutorial here on the Scrapbook Trends Blog. Here is my layout:

It's supposed to snow today and tomorrow so I'm going to finish up my larger deadlines and work on laundry and a video for 2Peas. Perfect day to be inside. Brrrr.

How is life keeping you busy? Has your March been crazy too? I'd love to see what my readers are up to!
The Post Play Recovery

Poor Kate. She is so sick. :( I think the late nights, the long practices, and the excitement of the play has just plain wore her out. She's been on the couch yesterday and today with cold-like symptoms. So run down. She has one more performance tomorrow night, and then we're done.

Yesterday we surveyed the garden area trying to plan for the grass, which arrives on April 9th. Woohoo!! But I was in tears as I realized our dirt, which we had delivered in late fall is great at producing weeds. I'm sick looking at all the work that has to be done AGAIN! Brett may hire a guy to come scrape one more time because I don't think I have it in me to dig up weeds for weeks on end again. I am thoroughly excited for the grass, however!!

I had one more layout for this month go up here at 2Peas. You can see more detail shots and locate the supply list there. I went a little crooked on this layout because it looks more interesting to me. So fun to play with the fun robot/boy supplies out there. I combined a bunch to create this layout:

And here are some photos from the "Three Billy Goats Gruff:" Here is the "happy to see me pose."

Here is the "I'm such a great reader pose:"
Here's the "I'm bored while the other two plays go on pose:"
And here's the "I can't stand it if someone doesn't do their part right, so I'm going to boss them into doing it right pose:"
And here's the set design for this prolific play:
What is it about seeing your kids perform that makes me get all weepy? Seriously! I love it. :)

Hmmmm.

That's all the brain power I have this morning. I want to write something. Something inspiring maybe.

Not going to happen.

Do you ever get to the point where life just overpowers you, and you feel helpless to control it? That's where I'm at right this second.

I'm recovering from a hectic mama morning.

I slept in. Sleeping in for me means 6:45 a.m. rather than 5:30 a.m. I have a strong internal clock that requires no alarm clock, but sometimes my body overpowers me.

Drag myself out of bed because my brain tells me to get up even though my body protests.

Open Kate's door. "Get up, sweetheart, you need to get in the shower."

We've got to shampoo out that gallon of hairspray you've got in your curls from "play hair."

7 a.m.

"Katelyn, get up!" I call.

7:15 a.m.

"Katelyn, you've GOT to get in the shower right now."

7:27 a.m.

Realize she can have hot dogs for school lunch rather than me packing her a lunch. Suh-weet!

7:30 a.m.

"Katelyn, we've got to get in the car RIGHT NOW!"

Open Jimmy's door.

"Baby, I'm going to take Kate to school; but you've got to wake up, k?"

No response.

Katelyn opens the bathroom door, hair is snarly in the back. I start to comb through it. THERE'S STILL HAIRSPRAY IN HER HAIR!!

10 minutes later, lots of water, and detangler, and tears, and frustration, and so many snarls--we're good to go. (Yesterday we reshampooed it, which made us late.)

7:50 a.m.

Jump in the van and head up to the Junior High. Write her an excuse. What to write? "Please excuse Katelyn for being late. Her 'play hair' took a little longer to untangle than we anticipated." Well, not exactly, but she's off.

7:10 a.m.

Back home.

"Jimmy, we've got to eat RIGHT NOW or we're going to be late."

"Cereal? I didn't want cereal. I wanted pancakes," he cries.

"You're seven years old. That's not how we get what we want, baby," I warn.

"I'll be happy to get you pancakes on a day when we're not running late," I reason.

7:15 a.m.

"Please eat. We're going to be late."

7:25 a.m.

Jump in the car. Pick up the neighborhood friend. Head to school. Bell rings.

Now I'm sitting here. Still in my pj's. Trying to regroup and recover.

I hate mornings like this!
She's a Star!!

Katelyn's play opened last night, "The Perfect Princess Pageant." She has put MANY hours into this play all while maintaining a 4.0. I'm quite proud of her for doing this, but I'm also a little concerned about the stress and exhaustion. I think she will need a good break after this. Thankfully our Spring Break is in a few weeks. The girl is amazing!

Katelyn was an "undercover fairy," the blue fairy from Sleeping Beauty. She did a great job and freaked us out a little when she came on stage. Someone had done her hair all curly, and we've never seen it like that. For a second there we wondered if it was a wig. Even little brother asked her that. It made her Dad a little irritated. Hee, hee.

Unfortunately after unloading all my photos, I realized I had my camera on a macro setting THE ENTIRE TIME. :( So many of them are blurry as we couldn't use flash photography anyway.

Katelyn is in the blue sunglasses, and that dress accentuates her height and skininess. Lucky girl!!

We caught up with her afterwards. Jimmy was thrilled to see sister, but it's a lot to ask a 7 year old to sit still during a 2 hour musical. :)
Both sets of grandparents came for the opening performance which we were very happy about and appreciative of, as they all worked that day and had VERY long days.
We thought a bouquet of white roses was appropriate for our beautiful girl. We're super proud of all that she does! Way to go, Kate!!
Crackle Paint Tutorial

Today's "Work It Out Wednesday" over at the Scrapbook Trends Blog is using Crackle Paint. Fun stuff!! I didn't realize that the bottle comes with a brush inside. Makes clean up a snap! You can add this stuff to your photos. I really had fun and it dried pretty quickly too.

Thanks for the birthday wishes for the boy. Unfortunately he and I ended up with pretty bad stomach aches in the evening so he didn't get to enjoy his birthday dinner or playing Halo with his Dad. We had a talk about how birthdays some times don't turn out exactly like you want. He handled it pretty well. There were some tears, but I think he understands. Poor baby! :(

Happy Birthday, Little Dude!

So today my BABY turns 7. I get all weepy the day before because it's one more year closer to them growing up and leaving. (Yeah, now who's the baby?)

I begged him to stay 6, but he was having none of that. So this morning he awoke to a Halo Lego Set, bubbles from the sister, and a new bike. He was less than thrilled about the bike, but if I'm going to make an investment like that it's going to be on a holiday of some sort. LOL! I wasn't hurt or surprised. I know my boy pretty well.

Saturday was his b-day party. It was a Star Wars Party, and Brett made an appearance as a Clone Trooper. This outfit was Joey's Make-a-Wish gift. I think it would make him happy to see it getting such good use. The back fence neighbors all came out to get a peek at Brett. And the kids kept trying to convince themselves that it really was "Jimmy's Dad." The shoes may have given it away. Eleven little boys wore me out, but my boy was happy so it was worth it. (Please ignore the dirt and weeds--the grass is coming in a few weeks!)

I hope he has a lovely day despite the yucky weather. :)
March: Mini Album a Month Class!

This month's class focuses on using a die cut shape or your own handcut shape to create an entire album. I used a die cut shape from Quickutz to create a phone album. You can find the class here at 2Peas. You can find the challenge details for participating here.

Note: I teach a monthly class at http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/ on creating a Mini Album. You can access the month's class in the Education Forum (see above). Then you can purchase your own supplies and create a similar album. You can also use my album class as a jumping off point to create your own personalized version. The class link includes a downloadable pdf, photographs, and sometimes a video to help you complete your project. Classes last from the 20th of the month to the 20th of the next month. You can participate at any time with the current class or the past classes just be reading the forum threads and watching the movies. Those who wish to complete the class challenge must do so before the 20th of the following month to be included in a drawing for a prize from 2Peas.

And you can watch the video below (at least until it's loading at 2Peas):

Technique Tuesday Stamped Card Video

Here is a stamped card using Technique Tuesday stamps.

(Disclaimer: I have no idea why the volume keeps changing, but it bugs me too.)

 Please contact me at js_gallacher@hotmail.com with your mailing address so I can ship out your prize! :)

And thank you for all of your very sweet comments about the passing of my son. We're coming up on the three year anniversary, and I never know how it's going to go--difficult or ok. I start to panic a little about now because of it. :( I'm glad I have such sweet blog friends to help me through it!
Good Grief Blog

Amanda Probst started a very cathartic blog a while ago to help those of us dealing with loss to scrapbook our memories and feelings. She has several permanent designers who have been through a variety of losses who contribute regularly to the blog. And then she also asks guest bloggers from time to time to share their experiences/feelings.

Today it's my turn.

For those of you that don't know, I lost my son, Joseph, to colon cancer in April of 2007. He was thirteen years old at the time, our oldest child, and a wonderful boy! He was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis at just 3 1/2 years old and suffered through that for many years. In addition to his stomach problems, he also had asthma which meant he would often have bronchitis and pneumonia. We spent nearly every year of his life in the hospital at least once. He was diagnosed with cancer in December of 2006. Joey was a trooper and had the most positive, lovely attitude throughout his entire life. He was a HUGE blessing in our lives, and everyone that had the chance to meet him found him to be a very special boy. (You can read more about his story by reading some of the entries with "Joey" in them. Here is one.)

I really struggled to write this journaling.

There is a large part of me that is still not yet ready to face the grief. I can only let little bits of it leak out now and then because the real and deepest grief is so large that it consumes me.

I miss him terribly.

Here is my layout:

The journaling reads:

One more day?

What would I do with one more day?

24 hours more with my boy—my sweet, sweet boy!

It would begin with an embrace so tight and so full he would grunt as the air rushed from his lungs. And we would laugh. He’d be taller than me. He’d tease me about that. And I’d love it and squeeze him again so afraid that he would disappear again. I would stand on my tip toes and whisper I love you, I love you, I love you until my voice becomes hoarse and he tires of hearing it.

Then I’d wrap my arms through his and pull him to the rest of the family letting them hug and embrace him, but I’d never let go.

He’d sit and tell us all he’s been busy with in heaven—who’s he’s teaching, if he’s seen Miss Jamie, what it’s like. We’d drink it in—hoping that he’s happy there, and knowing that he is—and knowing there’s still a pull to him there. Like he’s here but not quite here. It hurts to know that, but I also know our time together is just an interruption in the flow of life and the life after.

Jimmy would bring him Legos and tell him about the games he’s learning to play. He would crawl up on his lap and sit close and listen to his heart beating and try to remember every moment they shared together and wishing for endlessly more of it. He would smile shyly up at his big brother and fierce pride that this is “his” brother would wash over him and he would settle into Joey never taking his eyes from him.

Katelyn would hang back a bit. Shy to see her brother she hasn’t seen in three years. He wouldn’t wait for her. He would wrap his arm around her, look down at her and say, “I miss you, Kate.” Then she would smile, and she would cry. She’d cry that ugly cry she’s been holding back the entire time he’s been gone. And he would wrap her up snug and safe and pat her back and tell her that it’s going to be ok. And they would sit with her hand on his knee and she would feel calm and safe again.

And Brett. Oh Brett. He would weep. He would pick Joey up in a giant embrace and they would weep together. And Joey would tell Brett the words he’s needed to hear since he left us—that he really is ok and that we did everything we could for him and “It’s ok, Dad.” And Brett would want to believe him—want to believe him with every fiber of his being but being his Dad he can’t quite let it go.

It wouldn’t be a time spent playing games or revisiting an activity we once loved.

Rather it would be touch and smell and comfort and tears and peace and laughter.

And after 24 hours it would NEVER be enough!

You can read more about this layout and find other amazing layouts on the subject of "Daydreams/Dreaming" at the Good Grief Blog. I encourage you to check it out as we have all dealt with a loss in our lives: loss of a job, end of a marriage/relationship, loss of a loved one, loss of personal property due to calamity. Loss never quite escapes us. It really is a great blog, and I want to thank Amanda for the opportunity to share my heart (even when it's painful).

CHALLENGE!!

Come play along with my sketch challenge this week at 2Peas. :) The layout above fits this sketch below. Just create a layout (digi/hybrid/traditional) and upload it to the site before Friday for a chance to win a 2Peas prize!! (Just make sure to check the appropriate box when uploading your layout!)

Snow, Snow Suck Your Toe All the Way to I Don't Know!

How can I complain about the snowy weather when someone so kindly pointed out this morning, that is a heavenly invention for fresh, spring rivers? Sigh! (I'm complaining on the inside though.) ;)

How is that a productive day can still relate in bluesy feelings? Being a girl is so fabulous! Brett always says that Katelyn (our daughter) got in the wrong line in heaven. It irks her, but he laughs. I'm not sure guys have it all that easy, but still. More sighing! (I think I'm going to be doing that a lot today.)

I cleaned my office. Piles are gone and EVERYTHING! Which meant I had to sit down and mess it up again. My husband's right (he doesn't need to know that). A clean office leads to more creativity.

I recently had a new layout go up at 2Peas for one of my Garden assignments. I bought two stamps last month from 2Peas just because I loved them. It wasn't until I got them home and saw them that I realized one was a honeycomb background and the other had bees. Talk about subliminal messages. :)

You can see the layout, the supplies, and more details photos here at 2Peas:

Are you doing anything fun this weekend? As soon as I can meet up with my Mom, I'm hoping to read this book:

I don't know much about it other than lots of people on Goodreads liked it. I'm hoping that I do too!

Well have a great Sabbath day!
Video #1

Ok, for those of you that follow my blog you KNOW that I'm still learning about this whole video process. I hope that it gets easier with time. So here's a little video about a goodie box from Little Yellow Bicycle that I just received. These videos WILL get better. :) But I have to start somewhere. Hee, hee.

And apparently, "cute" is the word of the day. LOL!
Back to Work

Does it count as cleaning my office if things are now in reasonable piles? Say, yes, K?!! ;)

Got a goodie box from 2Peas yesterday. Filled with My Little Shoebox, My Mind's Eye, Sassafrass Lass, American Crafts, and something from 7 Gypsies. Plus a big bag of M&M's magically appeared. Good grief. This is NOT helping my diet at all. (Although I have lost the 4 pounds that I gained. Happy day!!)

The LYB blog is now up and running. Here is a layout for their website that I recently created using the "Generation Z" line:

I'll tell you what! If you go check out the blog, and leave a comment, then leave a comment on this blog post with a link to your LYB Blog comment. Then I'll send out a little extra Little Yellow Bicycle stuff to one random drawing winner. I have some extra goodies from several of their lines that would be fun to send out. I'll give you one week from today to check out their blog. Then I'll pull a name on Thursday, March 18th to win the prize so check back then and be prepared to give me your name and address via e-mail for the prize or I'll pick another winner. :)

Also, there is an uber cool tutorial up on the Scrapbook Trends Blog today--Heat Transfer for the Silhouette Machine. I tell ya Silhouette keeps coming up with AWESOME stuff: die cuts, vinyl, rhinestones, and now heat transfer. So awesome. The amazing, Kerri Bradford, created the amazing project for us! (Oh, and there's a GREAT GIVEAWAY with the post, so be sure to check it out!)

I'm also playing with stamps from Technique Tuesday. Their latest stamp release is so fun! I wanted to make a card with some of their images. (And any Ali Edwards stamps will always make me a content girlie.) Here's the first card.

Supplies:
* Cardstock by Prism, Provo Craft, Bazzill
* Ducks in a Row 8x8" paper pad by October Afternoon
* Aviary stamp set by Technique Tuesday
* Alphabet Soup stamp set by Technique Tuesday
* Stamping Ink by Stampin' Up
* Mustard Embossing Powder by American Crafts
* Die Cut by Quickutz
* Jumbo Scallop Scissors by Provo Craft
* Ribbon by American Crafts
* Gem stickers by Me and My Big Ideas
* 1.5" Circle Punch by Fiskars
* 2" Scallop Circle Punch by Fiskars

Here is another card using more Technique Tuesday stamps and the same paper pad I used above. I like to do a few at a time from one pad to move things along a little quicker. And I'm finding the smaller format paper pads wonderful because the pattern is typically smaller, which is great for cards.

Supplies:
* Cardstock by Provo Craft, Die Cuts with a View, Prism
* Ducks in a Row 8x8" paper pad by October Afternoon
* Alphabet Soup stamp set by Technique Tuesday
* Life in Pictures stamp set by Technique Tuesday
* Ali Edwards Everyday Words stamp set by Technique Tuesday
* Jumbo Scallop Scissors by Provo Craft
* Stamping Ink by Stampin' Up and Inque Boutique
* Ribbon source unknown
* Buttons by American Crafts
* 1.5" Circle Punch by Fiskars
* Scallop Sentiment Border Punch by Fiskars

Today I'm working on my Scrapbook Trends article. It's a fun topic, and I loved the other designers' beautiful work. I typically wait and see what kind of submissions come in, and then I create my layout(s) based on what I think is missing for the article. But it's a tough act to follow when there's so many fabulous designers sending in their work. I hope you're one of the ones submitting! I'd love to see your name in print.
Time to Myself

So I took a few days off. I'd like to say that it was relaxing, but I have no idea how not to work. Hee, hee. When my husband tells me to take a break and go do something, I have NO CLUE what to do with myself. My hobby became my work and my outlet. Oh well.

I did finish reading this book:

It is a POWERFUL read about a young girl growing up in Nazi Germany told through the eyes of Death. It's a long read--552 pages, I believe. But I could not put it down. Without telling me how to feel it left me to discover my own emotions and reactions. I will admit to bawling during this book. It has definitely impacted me. (I will add a disclaimer here that there is swearing in the book, but other than that is a completely clean read.) Truly amazing book! We are discussing in an upcoming Book Club, and it's going to be a great discussion!

Remember these projects I completed for Little Yellow Bicycle using the new "Clothesline" release?

Well, Clothesline is now available for purchase at 2Peas! I hope you're prepared for the yumminess!!

Here are a few of my favorite items:

* Flower Stick Pins

* Clothesline Ribbon

* Favorite Pieces Cardstock Stickers
* Clothesline Journal Tablet
Many of these pieces are textured fabric or cardstock or embossed. They really spent some time on the details here. It is a super lovely line!

Well, I need to work today; but my office is a TOTAL wreck. I suppose that's something I could have done during my break. But I find if I step into my office and start moving around scrapbook supplies--even if only to clean, then I find myself working. It's a sickness I tell you! ;)
"Something From Almost Nothing" Class Winner

And the winner is . . .

Cynthia B. said...

I could definitely use this class...I know I have tons of supplies that could be put to better use than decorating my scrap space. ;)

The class content sounds great. Thanks for the chance!

Please contact me with your e-mail at js_gallacher@hotmail.com so I can send your information on to Shimelle. If you do not contact me by Wednesday at noon MST, then I will select another winner!
Winter Warning!!

I can't believe, but after several lovely days hovering in the mid-50's, we are getting TONS of snow today. I don't know. I realize it's only March after all, but man! Actually I think it's quite pretty today and once I get my grocery shopping done I will be fine just to sit at home doing domestic details.

This week has been Dr. Suess week at the elementary school, and Jimmy actually let me do his hair for "Crazy Hair" Day. He NEVER lets us mess with his hair. But he wanted to try it today, and this was the end result:

The bad thing? He wanted a mowhawk again today. Nope!! I appreciate the little man's desire to express himself, but I draw the line at this. Something fun and funky is fine but I'm not the drastic hair-do type. I'm much more conservative.

Playing some more today. I saw this amazing rosetta frame from Silhouette, and I KNEW I had to try it on something so I framed it out on some Little Yellow Bicycle pattern paper and then created this layout. You can see the products here at 2Peas:

Supplies:
* Cardstock by Bazzill, Provo Craft
* Family Tablet by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Lucky Me Ribbon by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Lucky Me Canvas Stickers by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Lucky Me Favorite Pieces Cardstock Stickers by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Pregnancy Tablet by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Threading Water Border Punch by Fiskars
* Silhouette Die Cut Machine
* rose_top_swirls_background_C00141_19547

This layout went live today at 2Peas. I had so much fun with it!! I used a digital sticker kit for the forecast weather signs. I used a kit from Kate Teague which was actually a layout, but I added the forecast stickers to the open "days of the week" photo drop-in spots. Then I shrunk the entire layout down to 7X7" and printed it out on photo paper. (Photo paper makes it really shiny and the colors more rich.) I finished it up with some stuff from 2Peas. Just one of those layouts that comes together and makes you feel so happy. You can see some detail shots and the complete supply list here at 2Peas:

And this final layout is a tribute to my soccer-playing boy! I went a little embellishment crazy on this one, but it was fun! I'm liking vertical lines these days. They used to scare me, but now I kind of enjoy them. You can see additional photos here at 2Peas:

Supplies:
* Cardstock: Prism, Die Cuts with a View, Provo Craft
* Turquoise Metallic Check/Silver Pin Stripe pattern paper by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Yellow Grunge Dot/Yellow Pin Stripe pattern paper by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Orange Metallic Wings/Pin Stripe pattern paper by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Turquoise Metallic Disk/Turquoise Pin Stripe pattern paper by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Orange Metallic Wallpaper/Orange Pin Stripe pattern paper by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Generation Z Fabric Tags by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Generation Z Favorite Pieces Cardstock Stickers by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Generation Z Epoxy Stickers by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Generation Z Clear Stickers by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Upper Crest Border Punch by Fiskars
* Threading Water Border Punch by Fiskars
* Silhouette Machine
* Ali Edwards Everyday Words Words We Love stamp set by Technique Tuesday
* negative_strip_distressed_2355

* scribble_border_1807 (I thinned the scribble horizontally and then stretched it vertically to get the look I wanted)

So now that I'd done "work/playing" for the day, I'm going to make a delicious cottage cheese, tomato, green onion, and avocado dip for lunch. Been craving it ALL morning!!
Caught On Film

So I'm taking the plunge. I signed up for Karen Russell's photography class. I've long been an admirer of her and her photography so I'm auditing her March through June class. My one goal: getting out of automatic!! That would be so awesome. I keep telling myself, "You're capable of learning photography. Really. You are." I'm not sure I'm any better at convincing myself of that than I am of convincing my children that vegetables are good for you. Not that photography is as bad as vegetables. :)

"I think I can!"--remember--FEARLESS!!!

I thought I'd share with you a layout or two that I created for Little Yellow Bicycle. The first is about how my son has become an "emotional bandaid" for our grief over losing Joseph. All my children have a lovely sensitivity and know how to love us through the tough times. I'm very grateful for them. You can see a detail shot of the layout and see the supplies here:

Supplies:
* Cardstock: Die Cuts with a View, Bazzill
* Brown flower paper from the Family Paper Tablet by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Plaid/Green Tiny Stripe "Lucky Me" pattern paper by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Lucky Me Chipboard Embellishment Stickers by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Lucky Me Epoxy Chipboard Buttons by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Lucky Me Dimensional Stickers by Little Yellow Bicycle

And this second project, I wanted to document my feelings about wanting to get pregnant again after my miscarriage a little over a year ago. It's not something I've been ready to talk about until recently, and I now I want to make sure this part of my life is included in my life story. So I used the Pregnancy Tablet from Little Yellow Bicycle, and the one photo I have of my pregnancy to create this layout. You can see a detail shot and the product here at 2Peas.

Supplies:
* Cardstock: Provo Craft, Bazzill
* Pregnancy Tablet by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Lucky Me Canvas Stickers by Little Yellow Bicycle
* Ali Edwards Everyday Words Words We Love Stamp by Technique Tuesday
* Pink and yellow mini brads by Karen Foster
* Mustard Embossing Powder by American Crafts
* Leaf Embossing Powder by American Crafts
* Blue Skies Buttons by American Crafts
* flower_C0146 shape by Silhouette (I deleted the flower center and leaves to create a scallop circle shape)

I love that die cut flower, and it's making me really hungry for spring since it is raining/showing outside right now. :( I hate gloomy, overcast days. Bring on the sunshine!! :)

Weight Watching Wonders & Blunders

I am so LOVING this diet and exercise regimen I've adopted.

Apparently it involves hormonal crashes.

It also involves a trip to the store for not fat pants, but FATTER pants.

And finally it involves gaining 4 (count them) FOUR pounds.

I'm so impressed! At this rate I'll put on 30 more pounds before the wedding.

Yeah. I know I'm in it for the long haul. And my body is probably freaking out at the changes, but there's nothing more depressing than facing the above facts. Like I said, I'm loving it!

On a work note, I posted a thread on today's Scrapbook Trends Blog about a chance to win a $25 gift certificate for downloadable digital scrapbooking goodies from Crystal Wilkerson. She's amazing. So check out thia week's challenge involving a digital/hybrid card. Here's my take on the challenge:

And then I had to share the latest issue of Scrapbook Trends Magazine with you. This cover is one of my fav's ever!! You can purchase the issue here or download it here. It's a great issue!

And here is the Mini Albums Idea Book, which you can purchase here or download here:

Don't you love the pink, yellow, and teal colors. Welcome Spring!! :)
